Hotel Café Royal curates majestic experiences to celebrate the King’s Coronation

Just minutes away from the Royal parklands of Green Park and Buckingham Palace, Hotel Café Royal is the perfect location from which to explore the cultural highlights of London in this historic summer season of the King’s Coronation.

The Crown Jewels Experience – The Tower by Night

This ultimate experience of luxury and exclusivity begins with a stay in the opulent two-bedroom Royal Suite at Hotel Café Royal. As dusk descends, the chauffeur driven limousine arrives on Regent Street to whisk the guests away for an exclusive after-hours visit to the Tower of London. A personal tour of the grounds led by one of the King’s Beefeaters, guards of the Tower, is followed by a Champagne reception and private viewing of the breathtaking Crown Jewels and Royal Collection at the Jewel House.

Treasures on display at the jewel house include the largest diamond in the world, the 17th century solid gold St Edward’s Crown and Sovereign’s Orb, used during coronations, and the 20th century Imperial State Crown, which is set with 2,868 diamonds, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds, 269 pearls and four rubies.

Following the private viewing, led by a royal expert, the guests will be chauffeur-driven back to Hotel Café Royal and to the regal comfort of the Royal Suite. Breakfast, fit for a King, will be served by a personal butler, the next morning.

Hotel Café Royal’s Royal Suite is the ultimate in space, service and luxury in the heart of London. Designed to feel like a private residence, the two-bedroom suite is set out over 302sqm with large windows overlooking iconic Regent Street. The Royal Suite showcases Hotel Café Royal’s signature aesthetic: modern design with historic detail, featuring golden hued walls, beautifully gilded filigree plasterwork, comfortable lounge seating and large Siena marble dining tables, with a separate butler’s entrance and three Carrara marble bathrooms.

The King Charles III Experience

In addition to the exclusive Royal Suite, guests staying in any room category at Hotel Café Royal can also enjoy a day visiting iconic London landmarks associated with the new King Charles III. From Mayfair to St James, guests will explore the best of London guided by a royal expert and with endless photo opportunities along the way. They will view Clarence House, St James’ Palace and Buckingham Palace as well as discover the Royal Warrant where the King procures his essentials. The luxurious transportation, a Daimler once belonging to the Queen Mother, will then take them on, past St Paul’s Cathedral to the Guildhall Gallery to view a 1969 bust of the young King Charles III.

Following this unique tour, guests will be chauffeur-driven back to Hotel Café Royal for an award-winning Champagne afternoon tea, taking place in the historic Grill Room’s Est 1865, with stunningly ornate Louis XVI detailing.
