Which one of these properties would you be able to afford?
- The Big Brother House – £4.5 million
The Big Brother house was demolished in 2019 after 15 seasons, but it remains one of the most iconic properties in British TV. The TV show was designed to encompass modernism and functionality – a big hit with homeowners today – which will set potential buyers back a cool £4.5 million.
Not to mention the property’s location in Borehamwood, just outside of London, comes with great transport links and great business opportunities, making it an ideal spot for commuting and raising a family.
- Love Actually House – £3 million
The famous bright pink Love Actually mews house is a property many Brits dream of, sat right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Notting Hill; one of the most desirable locations in West London. Its spacious, modern design and layout is perfect for singletons, couples, or a small family.
- Love Island Villa – £2.5 million
The Love Island villa, located in the Spanish Balearic Island of Majorca, is known for its incredibly stylish and luxurious appearance. The secluded property boasts 5 bedrooms and spacious rooms, making it the perfect holiday home or for those looking to relocate to the Spanish countryside, costing potential buyers £2.5 million.
- Birds of a Feather House – £2.5 million
Tracey Stubbs’ detached upmarket home in the suburbs of Chigwell, Essex, is the perfect family home, setting you back a small fortune of £2.5 million.
For many years, Chigwell has been a desirable location, a haven for celebrities and footballers alike. As a result, buyers can expect houses to sell at a premium in this area – and they continue to rise year-on-year.
- Sherlock’s 221B Baker Street flat – £2 million
Sherlock Holmes’s flat, located on Baker Street in London, is steeped in history. The property has a traditional appearance both inside and out, keeping in theme with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous books. As a result, buyers can expect to pay a deposit in the region of £400,000 for this property, with a price tag of around £2 million.
- Bridget Jones House – £1 million
Borough Market is home to one of our favourite rom-coms of all time: Bridget Jones’ Diary. Jones’ spacious and modern London flat, located above the Globe Pub, is perfect for a couple or singleton looking to get on the property ladder in the hustle and bustle of London. But the flat comes with a hefty price tag of £1 million!
- Vicar of Dibley’s House – £650,000
Located in a quaint village, the Vicar of Dibley’s three-bedroom house is the perfect home for bringing up a young family. The property is the epitome of a Chocolate Box style home, offering a traditional design and layout, alongside a garage, pantry room and reception area too. For this reason, this iconic home is more expensive than its surrounding properties, its worth being in the region of £650,000. However, people are ready to pay more for this famous property, as it was recently sold for approximately £800,000!
- Only Fools and Horses flat – £500,000
If you are looking to buy a property like the iconic Only Fools and Horses flat in Peckham, it will set you back half a million pounds (£500,000). The up-and-coming area is fast becoming a hub for businesses and youngsters, thanks to its good transport links around London, making it the perfect place to buy if you’re working in the city.
- 4, Privet Drive – The Dursleys’ House – £475,000
Located in the up-and-coming area of Bracknell, just an hour outside of London, Privet Drive isn’t the most desirable area to move to, but the Harry Potter books have certainly put it on the map. The property’s design is not unique, but this style of property is perfect for a young couple or family to settle into. Naturally, properties outside of London sell for less money and this home will set you back £475,000.
- Flat from Peep Show – £250,000
Mark and Jeremy, from the popular British comedy show Peep Show, share a flat in the up-and-coming London borough of Croydon. This Croydon property will be ideal as a flat share, or a first home for a couple. The spacious two-bedroom flat will set you back a quarter of a million (£250,000), but Anamaria Pircu expects this property would be more desirable as a buy-to-let property to get the best return on investment.
