Tricon Foodservice Consultants’ latest project on the Dubai waterfront is a celebration of Southern Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The stunning new Alici Restaurant (Italian for anchovies) takes its inspiration from the best of the sea and serves seasonal Italian seafood dishes in elegant, casual surroundings.
Working with Orange Hospitality Tricon have brought the Amalfi Coast to Bluewaters Dubai. They were appointed to take the kitchen design from concept design to schematic and through to a developed design. The restaurant is set for success following in the footsteps of its sister restaurant Il Borro – the three-time winner of the What’s On and Time Out Awards for “Best Italian Restaurant in Dubai” and “Restaurant of the Year in Dubai”. Located on the water’s edge with hand-painted fish decorating the interior, Alici has views from both floors spanning across the waves into the Dubai skyline.
Tricon designed the Southern Italian eatery’s hospitality offerings including their GF bar – perfect for a pre or post-dinner drink. On the same floor guests can admire the selection of fresh seafood from the raw bar which offers an insight into the fresh seafood that will be served, an open cold kitchen and bakery/dessert kitchen where the carefully crafted desserts are prepared.
On the first floor, Tricon designed the main kitchen, stores and bar with a well-stocked wine wall where guests can sit at the tasting table for a more personalised experience or relax into the atmospheric restaurant. The hot and cold show kitchens bring the back-of-house forward, where guests can watch as their meals are prepared. Guests can experience a variety of dishes here with selections devoted to crudo, oysters, Alici signature antipasti and handmade pastas that will certainly transport them from one coastline to another.
