The chefs at Corinthia Hotel Budapest have gone overboard with no less than four themed brunches during the month of March, each commemorating a major event.
The Brunch Fest kicks off on March 5th with a brunch to honour International Women’s Day later in the month; the following Sunday, March 12th, comes the National Brunch in honour of the 1848 War of Independence.
On Sunday March 19th it’s the turn of St Patrick’s Day, while the last Sunday in the month turns into a celebration of Camelot and the exploits of Lancelot and Merlin.
The brunch launch follows hot on the heels of a brand new food concept launched this month at the hotel’s Brasserie & Atrium restaurants, Farm to Table. It means top quality food made from outstanding ingredients, farmed within the borders of Hungary and favouring small producers. The results are flawless, seasonal ingredients, tastes beyond comparison and perfect gastronomic experiences.
These are the four themed brunch experiences for the month of March:
International Women’s Day Brunch, March 5th: The Brasserie & Atrium is filled to the brim with flowers and the menu a healthy mix of salad and fish until dessert, which is indulgent chocolate dishes.
National Brunch, March 12th: Delicious traditional Hungarian dishes bring to life one of the most important dates in the country’s history, including Ujhazi soup and Szekely cabbage. The true melodies of the era are a musical backdrop while the children learn how to make a special rosette known as a cockade, worn in a hat as part of a uniform.
St Patrick’s Day, March 19th: A brunch dedicated to the Irish nation, with copious quantities of the nation’s drink, Guinness as well as traditional Irish folk music playing while you eat.
Camelot Brunch, March 26th: A time travel brunch set in the Middle Ages of Britain, the age of King Arthur and his sacred sword of Excalibur. Knights stand guard at your private round table as you imbibe English beers and enjoy the very best of traditional British cuisine.
All four brunches are priced at HUF10,500 per adults, 50% discount for children aged 6-16 and complimentary for those under six.
