Leonardo Hotels has released the first images showcasing an extensive refurbishment of its Leonardo Royal London City hotel, due for completion in June 2020.
Renovations to the hotel’s 307 bedrooms began last year with new rooms now featuring a relaxed and restful colour scheme, fresh wallpaper and carpets and a range of brand new furnishings including elegant armchairs and bespoke Leonardo Royal DREAM beds.
A large part of the investment has been dedicated to transforming the hotel’s public areas, most notably the lobby and reception, which will be given a complete transformation. The lobby will be decorated with a brass metal finish, double-sided electric fireplaces and sophisticated leather and velvet furnishings to complete the look.
The hotel’s F&B offering will also undergo a full rebrand which will see Leonardo Hotel’s new Corvo and Leo’s concepts make a debut at the property.
Corvo, the Italian inspired coffee, cocktail bar and all-day cafe, will provide guests with quintessentially Italian quick bites and refreshments, perfect for a working lunch or pitstop in between sightseeing.
Meanwhile, Leo’s will serve guests an array of breakfast options from classic Eggs Benedict to a full cooked breakfast. For busy business travellers, an on-the-go breakfast option will also be available. After the morning rush, the restaurant and bar will offer an evening food and drink menu providing guests with the perfect place to rest after a busy day.
Jason Carruthers, Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, comments: “Last year’s acquisition of the three central London locations was a milestone which we are very proud of. Since then, we have worked non-stop and have big plans for all three hotels, most notably for Leonardo Royal London City.
“This year, following an incredible £11.5 million investment, our plans are coming to fruition. We are extremely excited to unveil the finished product to our customers this summer.”
Leonardo Royal London City is one of three Leonardo Royal central London properties to be added to the Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland portfolio in 2019. Shortly following the acquisition, the hotel’s spas were rebranded to become Rena Spas, all of which offer a selection of specialist massages and treatments using the renowned French cult beauty brand, Caudalie.
Popular tourist attractions such as Tower of London, Tower Bridge, The Shard and Borough Market are walking distance from Leonardo Royal London City, which is also close to transport links, making it easy to explore the whole capital.
