W Maldives, the luxury playground located in the North Ari Atoll surrounded by one of the best house reefs in the country, is excited to announce the second installment of WHAT SHE SHAKES series, featuring Laura Prabowo, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Hong Kong’s renowned 2021 Asia’s 50 Best Sustainable Bars, Penicillin, on June 30, 2023 at SIP Bar.
During her guest mixology stint at the luxury playground, Laura will present a collection of four cocktails that depict her career journey. The first cocktail is a classic concoction that inspired her to become the great mixologist that she is today, while the second is her residency cocktail which is one of Penicllin’s signature drinks. The third cocktail reflects her own personal storytelling, and the last cocktail—“Her Legacy”—is a special creation that Laura develops in collaboration with the luxury playground. This exclusive cocktail combines her signature style with the DNA of W’s cocktail culture and Maldives’ mesmerizing beauty that will be left on the menu at SIP Bar even after Laura Prabowo departs, for a limited time, allowing for guests to taste and indulge in her W Maldives special creation.
Laura Prabowo is a celebrated mixologist with over a decade of experience in the industry. Her exceptional talent and creativity have earned her numerous accolades and recognition like No. 2 Woman Flair Bartender, Jakarta Best Bar Personality, and LKF Street Cocktail Competition, just to name a few—making her the perfect collaborator for this year’s WHAT SHE SHAKES series. Through this program, W Maldives aims to highlight the continuous efforts and commitment to their stance in giving female mixologists a platform to showcase their talent and skills, environmental sustainability, and provide inspiring experience for their guests.
