THE BEAU-RIVAGE HOTEL IN GENEVA APPOINTS MR ROBERT P. HERR AS GENERAL MANAGER

September 2021, Beau-Rivage, Genève announces the appointment of Robert P. Herr as General Manager. Herr is Swiss and has a degree in international hotel management from Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and an MBA from Henley Business School. He then furthered his studies at Cornell University.

With over 28 years of industry experience gained at luxury hotels in Switzerland and around the world, Herr brings his in-depth knowledge of operations and F&B.  He has held management positions in Paris, Vienna, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Prague, Berlin and Beirut. Herr joins Beau-Rivage from the Bürgenstock  Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne, where he opened and positioned the resort as one of the most sought-after destinations in the world.

His commitment to high-end hospitality and conscious management in the luxury sector is in keeping with Beau-Rivage Genève’s future plans which include an extensive renovation to take place over the next two years.  This will strengthen and elevate the hotel’s great legacy while propelling it to the very core of the future of hospitality in Europe.

REVIVE THE HOTEL’S GRANDEUR

In his new role, Robert P. Herr will manage the ongoing renovation of the hotel, which commenced a few years ago with its impressive Loft Suites, and the Imperial and Royal Suites, located on the top floors of the iconic building.

In order to complete these transformations, important historic parts of the hotel will be refurbished while staying true to the design and architectural documents and old photographs the legendary hotel has in its archives.

The renovation project aims to revive the magnificence of one of the most emblematic hotels in Europe and renew its grandeur.

“We are ready and looking forward to welcoming guests who have been loyal to Beau-Rivage for many years along with a new generation of travellers who are discovering Swiss hospitality for the first time,” Herr explains.
