The Restaurant Show: 27-29 September 2021, Olympia London

The Restaurant Show, featuring Catering Equipment Expo, is fast approaching and exhibitors, speakers, industry heavyweights and more are busy preparing for its return this September (27th– 29th) at Olympia London.

Hundreds of products are expected to light up the show floor as exhibitors from the worlds of food, drink, tableware, technology and equipment make their long-awaited return to live events.

Expect to see exceptional produce from exhibitors such as Winter Tarn Dairy, Freedown Food and Vanillabazaar. Meanwhile, the latest developments in restaurant technology will be on show from big names such as OpenTable, Payfacto and Stint. Masters of design Dawnvale and Craster will also be exhibiting alongside equipment heavyweights Steelite, Rational and Meiko.

The buzz of the show floor will be complemented by a stellar line-up of free-to-attend live talks and events on the BigHospitality Live stage. From technology to future trends, industry experts will be debating and discussing the most pressing issues of the day backed by the latest insight from Lumina Intelligence.

An expert panel led by broadcaster Louise Minchin will discuss the challenges the industry has faced over the last 18 months and what’s in store for the future in ‘Hospitality: A vision for the future’, (27thSeptember, 11.15am).

For the latest on food waste and sustainability, visitors should make ‘The Great Reset: How restaurants can build back with sustainability at heart’, a must-see. Taking place at 2pm on 27thSeptember, the session will bring together some of the industry’s leading voices to discuss the challenges restaurants face and how to implement sustainable practices that benefit the planet and bottom line.

Joe Lutrario chats toNetlix star Asma Khan (The Darjeeling Express) and crack chef Sally Abe (Conrad London St James) in ‘Ladies who launch: Fireside Chat with Joe Lutrario, Asma Khan and Sally Abe’, (28thSeptember, 12.10pm). Together they’ll talk surviving the pandemic, how to make your mark in hospitality and hiring all-female crews.

How best to communicate with diners is up for discussion in ‘Table talk: build relationships, boost loyalty’, (28thSeptember, 1.05pm) with an expert panel including David Hamilton, District Director at Open Table, debating the merits of our digital first era and its place in the restaurant industry.
