NOBU HOTELS COMES TO CHICAGO! @NobuChicago

Hot on the heels of Chicago being mentioned as one of the 12 destinations to watch for in ABTA’s Travel Trends 2020 that was released this week, NOBU HOTELS, the hotel group crafted and cultivated by world-famous Japanese chef, Chef Nobu and Academy Award-winning actor, Robert De Niro, is excited to announce that Nobu Hotel Chicago is on track to open in Spring 2020.

Ideally situated in the vibrant area of Chicago’s West Loop, on the corner of West Randolph and North Peoria – one of Chicago’s fastest growing neighbourhoods and home to the famed ‘Restaurant Row’ – the Nobu Hotel Chicago will bring a one-of-a-kind experience to the city including the signature Nobu Restaurant and a Rooftop Bar, delivering the famed Nobu experience with a remarkable view.

Nobu Hotel Chicago is brought to life through the architecture of the building, blending elements of old -world Japanese art and new world utilitarian with a sense of accessible sophistication.

The 115 guest rooms and suites will feature everything you would expect at a Nobu Hotel including Nespresso machines and traditional Japanese tea service, exclusive Nobu beds, in-room dining from the Nobu restaurant, private bar, yoga mats and a butler service upon request.

The hotels room categories include Deluxe Room, Sake Suite and Nobu Suite. The Sake Suite comes in one- and two-bedroom forms and can accommodate up to four or six guests.  The Nobu Suite is unlike any other found in Chicago with features including sisal and wool rugs, mango wood millwork and custom artwork by Dutch artist Noor van Spaendonck.

The hotel will also feature a 10,000-square foot Nobu restaurant, opening out on to Randolph’s famed Restaurant Row where guests will be able to enjoy Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s extensive menu of inventive dishes and bold cocktails. Highlights include Nobu’s signature dishes such as rock shrimp tempura, miso black cod and yellowtail sashimi with thin sliced jalapeno peppers or sample those unique to Nobu Chicago such as exclusive sakes and locally inspired dishes.

Guests will also be able to enjoy the Rooftop bar perched atop the hotel offering a sushi lounge and indoor and outdoor seating ideal for the changing Chicago climate. Another eatery is The Sushi Room nestled beneath the mezzanine level of the restaurant where guests are invited to dine at the stone sushi bar and watch as their food is meticulously prepared in front of them.

With 2,800 square feet of Spa, guests can pamper and relax at Esencia Wellness, Nobu Hotels’ signature spa experience. The hotel also offers a state-of-the-art fitness centre with Technogym fitness equipment.

Off property, enjoy the range of attractions within a few blocks – go from sushi bar to sports bar, bakery to brewery, wine tasting to taquería, butcher shop to champagne salon, late-night diner to futuristic cocktail lounge — all within walking distance. Specialty foods galore also abound at the nearby Chicago French Market, the city’s only year-round, indoor marketplace. Interspersed among the West Loop luxe lofts and the chic retail boutiques are galleries, design stores and antique sources that give the area its creative edge.
