Sales surge at Crown Pavilions after record rainfall

With December’s rainfall breaking all records and January following suit, the boss of garden room experts Crown Pavilions says orders are through the roof as beleaguered homeowners and hoteliers seem determined to make the most of the great outdoors in 2016.

Orders for Crown Pavilions’ gazebos and garden rooms, beloved by everyone from Alan Titchmarsh to Duncan Bannatyne, are up 23% on this time last year and director Luke Dejahang puts it down to the weather.

He said: “Our customers are a hardy lot and they do love their gardens, so for many the last two months have been pure misery.

“The rain has been incessant but the reaction has been fascinating – no-one likes being beaten by the weather so a lot of our new customers have made a conscious decision to enjoy their gardens regardless of Mother Nature.

“Hotel trade in particular has been incredible as they suffer just as much as homeowners. They have incredible grounds so we are proving that you can enjoy the outdoors all year round!”

From garden offices and outdoor kitchens to gazebos and pool rooms, Crown Pavilions has been constructing the world’s finest garden rooms for years.

With prices starting at just £7,000, Luke says there’s never been a better time to invest in the garden.

“The last couple of months have proved that the weather can have a big impact on our lives but it’s very much a case of ‘if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

“Our garden rooms enable everyone to enjoy their garden all year round and the Crown Pavilions 30-year guarantee gives peace of mind too.”

The company is sponsoring London trade show Hotelympia at the end of February and Luke says demand from the hospitality industry has grown too.

“We’re 12% up on where we were with our corporate clients this time last year,” he revealed.

Former ‘Dragon’ Duncan Bannatyne has installed two Crown Pavilions at hotels he owns, while Gloria Hunniford and Alan Titchmarsh have had them constructed in their gardens.

Said Duncan: “I love Crown Pavilions. The ones we’ve had installed look terrific and they’ve been a great company to deal with.”

Gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh was vocal in his praise for the company.

“Crown Pavilions can really change your life,” he said. “These fabulous buildings manage to extend the use of your garden at both ends of the year.”
