Fast Forward 15 starts 2016 with a sensational Night of Sparkle

On Tuesday 9th February 2016, the 15 mentees from the Fast Forward 15 programme will host A Night of Sparkle, in Basement at The London EDITION. The exclusive charity reception will be a fun and informal evening of networking and entertainment, with all proceeds going to Newlife Foundation, The Prince’s Trust and The Clink.

The evening has been developed by the participants of the inaugural Fast Forward 15 in response to a challenge set down by Fay Sharpe, the founder of Fast Forward 15, to test their event organising mettle. Additionally the exercise both fosters a sense of teamwork and also the importance of having a social awareness in professional life.

Fleur Burrows-Jones, Hospitality Events Sales and Marketing Manager at The National Theatre and one of the Fast Forward 15 mentees said: “This was a great challenge to undertake, testing out mettle and encouraging us to think outside the box to deliver a stunning and memorable event. We’re delighted to have secured such a stylish venue and amazing prizes from some very generous sponsors. Furthermore, the proceeds of the evening will be going to three prestigious UK charities doing important work. We look forward to an evening which truly sparkles!”

A Night of Sparkle is aimed at young professionals across London and the Home Counties with tickets priced at £15 per person, which include a canapé reception, two complimentary drinks and a very special goody bag.

A raffle will also be conducted on the night, with the following prizes generously donated by All About Flights, Green Route Africa, One&Only Cape Town, MICEBOOK, The Savoy and much more.

Commenting on the event, Fay Sharpe said: “This task was designed to get the mentees to think on their feet and put what they’ve learnt from the course into practice. It’s amazing to see how the first class has developed over this last year and I am amazed at how they have pulled together to create an event from scratch, organising everything from the affiliated charities and sponsors to the prestigious venue and sparkling entertainment. I look forward to seeing the room packed on the night for what promises to be a fantastic occasion.”

The evening will also be supported socially on Twitter, with guests encouraged to engage and interact with @NightOfSparkle.
