The Latest in 3D Imaging and Audio Experience to be revealed at Sleep

With just a week to go until the doors swing open on Sleep at the Business Design Centre in London, Europe’s most innovative hotel design event has revealed plans for two more cutting-edge experiences: the Digital Lounge created by IVR Nation and an Audio Hub created by Clear AV. True to the reputation that Sleep has gained over the past 10 years for being the sector’s most experiential event, the two installations are promising to be the most immersive yet.

As part of its showcase and in a world exclusive for Sleep, IVR Nation will be unveiling the new HTC Vive headsets which have not yet gone on general release. Also on display and available for visitors to try out will be Oculus Rift headsets, the Samsung Gear VR (virtual reality) and the 360 VR video which IVR Nation has just developed. Acclaimed for its new level of virtual reality technology, the 3D imaging company will also be translating the winning entry of the Sleep Student Pinterest Competition – the stunningly beautiful rendition of The Ugly Duckling by Siobhan Murray – into a virtual experience

ab

Clear AV will be demonstrating the latest in audio and lighting systems, designed to engage the senses and connect the emotions. The company’s new acoustic modelling software allows guests to feel, as well as hear, the music even at low volume, while at higher levels, they can still hold an audible conversation. Visitors to Sleep can check out the systems – designed to be intuitive to use and simple

to integrate – in the hub, or experience the magic of the sound in the ‘Drink Me Bar’ where Clear AV equipment will be playing a soundtrack specially created by Music Concierge and inspired by the bar’s designer Conran+Partners’ whimsical take on the story of Alice in Wonderland.

The Digital Lounge and Audio Hub will both be located on the first floor adjacent to the Conference theatre.

Other showcases unique to Sleep 2015 are:

Snoozebox portable hotel fitted out with the winning design from the Sleep Snoozebox Competition created by designers from Norway’s OHØY studio – on the forecourt outside the Business Design Centre.
