Clarity and Cost Savings on the Table for Technical Conference

Listening to feedback from their collective memberships, and sector stakeholders, the CEDA and CESA Joint Catering Equipment Industry Technical Conference on 7th October sets out to give clarity on key safety and business issues including gas safety and saving money on fleet insurance.

“Our seminar programme aims to clear up any confusion around changes to the Gas Regulations which impact on catering equipment, and also make it clear about the safety implications of using equipment with pressure vessels like espresso coffee machines.

“On the business side we also have an expert who will talk about how insurance premiums are calculated for fleet insurance premiums,” says Peter Kay, CEDA Technical Support.

The Seminar programme/titles for CEDA and CESA Joint Catering Equipment Industry Technical Conference:

Still a bit confused about the changes to the Gas Regulations?

Requests for technical help suggest that some engineers are still a little confused by the changes to the Unsafe Situations Procedure, plus how and when to measure CO2 levels in accordance with UP/19.

To show the way forward representatives from IGEM and Gas Safe Register will set out clearly exactly what the changes are and how to action them.

Pressure vessels – what they are, when they need examining and what can happen if they go wrong?

With widespread use of espresso coffee machines there are more pressure vessels in foodservice operations than ever before. Engineers and managers need to be aware of the potential risks when one goes wrong.

Andy Greaves, Standards Engineer (Pressure) for Allianz Engineering, and an expert on this subject will explain all.

Want to reduce your fleet insurance costs?

Darren Cronin of the Jelf Group has been advising CEDA members for a number of years on insurance matters. He will explain how vehicle fleet insurance premiums are calculated and how you can potentially reduce yours.
