The PUM is a new revolutionary membrane which saves space without reducing the flow capacity, which can be particularly crucial in bathroom cabinets. It also functions as an air admittance valve when there is a negative pressure in the drainage system (secondary air ventilation), which gives much better flow in the drainage pipe. The new technique stops bad air coming up through the drainage system.
