Dari Indera Villa Makes a Great Base to Visit Bali’s Top Ten Tourist Attractions

In time for the Indonesian Independence Day on 17th August, Dari Indera Villa has found out which attractions in Bali are the best.

Following Bali being voted the voted the top country to visit in 2017 by TripAdvisor, Dari Indera Villas and Spa (https://dariindera.com) have conducted a survey with their UK guests to find out what attractions are in Bali were their favourites following their holiday to this beautiful isle. The survey took opinions from guests that stayed in either The Muse, Seminyak, or the Villa Dari Indera, near Tanah Lot. The following were revealed to be the Top Ten Bali attractions:

  1. Tanah Lot

As the most visited and photographed temple in Bali, this beautiful Hindu Temple perches on a rock surrounded by the sea. Especially popular for sunset pictures, the temple forms an important element of Balinese spiritualism and mythology. At low tide visitors can walk to the base of the temple.

2. Ubud Monkey Forest

Within the village of Padangtegal visitors can spot long-tailed macaques in their natural habitat as you meander through this nutmeg forest. With over 700 monkeys and 186 species of trees in 12.5 hectares of forest, the villages view the Monkey forest as an important spiritual and economic centre.

3. Goa Gajah

On the western edge of Bedulu Village is what is known as the “Elephant Cave” a site of significant historic value. The entrance of the cave is carved with numerous creatures and demons, and the entrance is actually the mouth of a demon. There are many mysteries surrounding the cave, the misleading name being one.

4. Ulun Danu Bratan

Another beautiful water Temple, this one resting on the edge of Lake Bratan. This Hindu-Buddhist Temple is dedicated to the water goddess Dewi Danu. The site is been important for ceremonies and pilgrimages, ensuring farmers from all over Bali have water, as part of the UNESCO recognised Subak system.

5. Nusa Lembongan

This small island off the southeast coast of the mainland has great beaches and amazing marine life. With some of the clearest waters in the world, snorkelling and diving are popular activities here. Known as a surfer’s paradise, the island is becoming more popular with other tourists who want to escape the bustle of mainland Bali.

6. Mount Batur

For one of the best views at sunrise, the peak of Mount Batur tops the bill. Though it’s an early start to reach the summit, the views are well worth it. This active volcano has an elevation of 1,717m and is sacred to Hindu beliefs.

7. Tenganan

Largely separated from the rest of Bali, a visit to this village is like stepping back in time, as you can see how the Balinese used to live. With traditional houses, crafts that are unique to the village and ancient ceremonies still observed this village is a wonder to behold.

8. White Water Rafting

Tackle the Ayung River and its class II and III rapids. Raft through some amazing scenery, discover hidden waterfalls and even swim in the pristine water. White water rafting is a challenging and unforgettable experience in Bali.

9. Art Market

The Ubud Art Market is full of beautiful hand-crafted goods, that are all made locally and known for high quality produce. The hustle and bustle of the market is an experience in itself. Beautiful silk scarves, woven bags, lightweight shirts, traditional items and more can be found at this market. Perfect for finding that must have souvenir.

10. Jimbaran Beach

With peaceful secluded areas, alluring white sand and beautiful clear waters this beach is great for escaping from general flurry of Bali. This old fishing village is famous for its seafood barbeques, which can be tried at the cafes and restaurants that line the beach.

With two private and fully serviced villas to choose from, guests can experience the epitome of Balinese luxury. With all the comforts and amenities to be expected from a luxury villa, there is no better place to stay.

Located in the Tabanan countryside, Villa Dari Indera offers everything that a 5-star hotel would, and more. Just 10 minutes from the world-famous Tanah Lot Temple, it is in the rural heart of Bali. With spacious grounds, gardens and a private pool it is the perfect place to relax.
