Thai café chain Rosa’s is to open a new site on Wilton Street in London’s Victoria – its seventh overall.
The firm has also announced two new appointments: a property and development consultant and an operations manager.
The new 1,300 sq ft restaurant will open towards the end of this year as a pop-up Laos café before undergoing extensive renovations in the New Year to become a Rosa’s.
Ed Francis has been brought on-board as operations manager, having spent six years with Soho House group, while Stephen Evans has taken on the role of property and development consultant. Evans was previously Gourmet Burger Kitchen’s development director.
The chain was founded by husband and wife team Alex and Saiphin Moore and is set to expand further next year.
Alex said: “There is a growing appetite in the UK for more adventurous cuisines – with Southeast Asian cuisine and Thai in particular set to see the strongest growth in the branded restaurant market segment. The new additions to the team will help us take the business through its next stage of growth, which may even involve bringing an experienced industry investor on-board to accelerate our roll-out.”
The first Rosa’s Café opened in Spitalfields in 2008, followed by Soho in 2010, Westfield in 2011, Carnaby Street in 2013 and most recently Angel (pictured) and Chelsea, which both opened last year.
