BROADWICK SOHO
Slated for launch in late 2022, Broadwick Soho is a 57 room hotel, home to a Sicilian inspired restaurant and terrace, rooftop lounge, intimate dining room and speakeasy bar. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, the refreshingly original property will offer impeccable personalised service in opulent yet cosy surroundings, inspired by the spirit of Soho.
Conceived by a group of friends, who dreamed of creating a hideaway in London’s most loved neighbourhood, the hotel will offer sanctuary and a place for fun, where all are welcome. The residential style guest rooms, including one Penthouse and nine suites, are all individually designed, with many rooms offering private balconies and all featuring the finest appointments and amenities. Moreover, the hotel’s signature restaurant will serve Sicilian inspired fare, including a classic Aperitivo and traditional sharing dishes. On the upper floor, the wraparound rooftop bar and terrace will be a space for casual dining, excellent cocktails, exceptional vistas and a carefully curated programme of live music and entertainment. For those seeking private experiences, the eighth-floor dining room with views overlooking Soho offers a glamorous backdrop for celebrations and weddings.
Broadwick Soho is Martin Brudnizki’s first London hotel project. Hailed for his style blending modernity and authenticity, Brudnizki’s approach is a perfect match for the neighbourhood, where the creative, eclectic and exhilarating atmosphere is as emblematic as a warm welcome. Together with the Broadwick Soho team, Brudnizki has created a design concept inspired by Soho’s natural grit and glamour and describes the hotel as ‘seventies hedonistic disco pop, meets your eccentric godmother’s townhouse.’
David Monson, Broadwick Soho’s General Manager; ‘To complement the exquisite and characterful interiors at Broadwick Soho, there will be an authentic and genuine culture delivered by our charming employees who truly care, along with the personal connections they will make with our guests, who will want to return again and again.’
THE TWENTY TWO
The Twenty Two, a new hotel with an all-day public restaurant and a private members’ club, will be opening on the historic Grosvenor Square in London’s Mayfair in Q1 2022. Set within a Grade II listed Edwardian manor at number 22 Grosvenor Square, the building is being redesigned into a Westside hideaway for creative cohorts, local residents and international guests in London.
Upon completion, the 42500 sq. ft property will house 31 bedrooms and suites, including a Mews house as well as an all-day restaurant and private members’ club.
The interior design for The Twenty Two is being led by award-winning luxury designer Natalia Miyar and her practice, based between London and Miami. Complimenting work by French interior designer Bambi Sloan, a consultant on the project, Miyar is working closely with proprietor and creative lead Navid Mirtorabi. The Twenty Two is Miyar’s first hotel project, with each room and public space being expertly decorated in an opulent yet welcoming style.
The design concept boasts rich textured fabrics, elegantly embroidered silks, lavish velvets and bespoke wallpapers – a modern interpretation of classic maximalism. It pays homage to the grandeur and legacy of the building, with original architectural features, including double height ceilings, restored within some of the guest bedrooms and suites. The bedrooms will feature bespoke amenities, and 24-hour room service will be available alongside the hotel mini bars.
The food and drink offering across the property, will feature the highest quality seasonal produce whilst focusing on local suppliers and mindful practices. With the kitchen overseen by Executive Chef Alan Christie, the all-day public restaurant will serve modern-British menus with influence from southern Europe. The beverage offering at each of The Twenty Two’s four bars will showcase the brand’s own spirits, creative cocktails and imaginative low[1]ABV alternatives to suit all tastes.
Members’ of The Twenty Two, and in-house hotel guests, are invited to use the club as a place to collaborate and unwind, with exclusive access to an all-day lounge space with a bar and open outdoor terrace that overlooks Grosvenor Square, an evening dining room with a covered outdoor terrace, as well as a cocktail bar. This visionary project is the realization of hospitality entrepreneur, hotelier and tech investor Navid Mirtorabi, whose current portfolio includes Humble (Founder), Lunaz Design – Classic Electrical Cars (Co-Founder), Little Emperors (Investor), as well as various other hospitality projects: “We want to redefine the traditional Mayfair hotel and club by bringing a new community to this iconic part of the city. To create a space where people can come together and feel welcome, regardless of where they come from, what their profession is and what they choose to wear. London is a melting pot of creative people from all cultural backgrounds and we want to celebrate that at The Twenty Two.”
The property will be overseen by Managing Director Darius Namdar, formerly of Corbin & King, Chiltern Firehouse and Mark’s Club: “Our vision is to instil a more playful side to Mayfair. We want everyone who passes through The Twenty Two to experience exceptional service, be greeted with a smile and, most importantly, feel welcome and accepted, whist enjoying the best hospitality London has to offer.”
