The seasoned designer and architect with an expansive project list joins Oakland-based Arcsine as a continued dedication to the firm’s commitment to seamless client collaboration and creating bespoke spaces
(OAKLAND, CA; October 30, 2019) — Arcsine, the Oakland-based architecture and design studio behind marquee spaces in the Bay Area and beyond, onboards seasoned hospitality design authority Elizabeth Dillon as director of hospitality. Dillon is the first to fill the new role, which was created to uphold Founding Principals Adam Winig and Daniel Scovill’s vision for delivering innovative and dynamic environments alongside unmatched client relationships.
Prior to joining Arcsine, Dillon played a pivotal role in launching ForrestPerkins’ West Coast presence during her 20-year tenure. She brings to Arcsine a devotion to the merged perspectives of architecture and interior design in a hospitality environment. Immersing herself in the discovery process, she explores a brand or hotel in order to tell its story. This idea melds flawlessly with that of Arcsine’s “Method Design,” an immersive process created to inform style from the lens of the client. Dillon will bring her expertise to the studio at large, with a specific focus on an exciting repositioning of the renowned Olympic Club bar and restaurant in San Francisco, a new bar and restaurant in Los Gatos, CA and a family focused sports bar in Lakeland, FL.
Dillon joined ForrestPerkins at the Washington, D.C. office in 2001 and worked her way through banner hospitality projects—among them JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa and Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, in addition to multiple properties from iconic brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, and more. Her drive and talent evident, the company tasked her with launching a new West Coast presence in San Francisco in 2008. It was in the San Francisco Bay Area that she worked with iconic properties including Hilton Union Square, Carmel Valley Ranch, Ritz-Carlton San Francisco, San Francisco Marriott Marquis, and other projects across the country. Dillon’s early appreciation for design propelled her to study interior design, with an emphasis on hospitality, at Virginia Tech where she graduated cum laude in 2000.
