Shahid Afridi visits Chak 89. His charity foundation event is to be held at the Mitcham banqueting suite in August 2016
The not-for-profit ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ was founded in March 2014 and aims to improve the lives of children, teenagers and adults in Pakistan by building hospitals, schools and more. The foundation has played a vital part in the frequent floods, earthquakes and the monsoon season disasters to control loss of lives in rural areas. Shahid Afridi also joined hands with Dar-ul- Sukun to give his support to abandoned, orphaned, and disabled children in the region. Through his charity foundation’s good deeds, Afridi intends to give back to his country and followers for the love and support they’ve shown him throughout his cricketing career.
Frank Khalid, owner of Chak 89 said, “We are very proud to be associated with SAF and the work they do for a very important cause. I personally I am very excited to help where ever I can as a friend of Shahid Afridi whom I have known for years. The event will bring great excitement to our team, and we are honoured to be a part of this fantastic cause”.
The SAF charity night is set to take place on the day that Pakistan meet the England cricket team at the Oval and will feature VIP guest speakers, a memorabilia auction, raffle, 3 course meal provided by Chak 89 and much more.
