Two new hotels have announced they are to become part of the MGallery collection in September.
The Castle Hotel in Windsor and The Queens Hotel in Cheltenham will be the latest additions to the boutique MGallery portfolio, rebranding from the original Mercure name. The collection says that each hotel has ‘rich, beautiful décor and eclectic details are blended with the heritage and charm of each hotel providing guests with a unique experience that they will treasure both during and after their stay.’
The Castle Hotel dates back to 1528 and this history is echoed in design touches throughout the hotel. Chambermaid bells are staged in the hotel’s restaurant, while each of the hotel’s five suites has been named after royal warrant holders. The four-star hotel in Windsor is located close to the famous castle and gardens and consists of 108 bedrooms, the Eighteen restaurant and Bar @ 18.
The second hotel to rebrand to MGallery is The Queens Hotel in Cheltenham, which was originally built and opened in 1838, the year of Queen Victoria’s coronation. The four-star property features a Gold Cup bar, Napier restaurant and conservatory and overlooks the Imperial Gardens on the famous promenade. The rooms offering includes 28 superior rooms and four suites, while the restaurant offers guests a menu inspired by the surrounding areas.
