Microtel by Wyndham announced that it opened at UP-Ayala Land Technohub, an IT and commercial development in Quezon City. The hotel serves to complement a growth center that is home to the University of the Philippines, with locators such as technology and business incubators, research firms, BPOs, restaurants and numerous commercial establishments.
As the 13th and newest hotel in the franchise, Microtel by Wyndham UP Technohub offers 120 guestrooms in a six-story structure fronting Commonwealth Avenue. The hotel chain is also known for its queen-sized beds with chiropractor-approved mattresses, rated on American Chiropractic Association standards.
With rooms overlooking the city or a garden quadrangle, Microtel UP Technohub’s design complements industrial and environmental elements present around the commercial development area. Millie’s Restaurant, one of only three in the country, serves as the hotel’s international cuisine dining facility. A function hall above the restaurant can accommodate 200 people. In addition, there are three meeting rooms good for 30 persons.
Microtel UP Technohub also offers a view of the Quezon City skyline at its roof deck, where there is a pool.
The UP-Ayala Land Technohub is located across the University of the Philippines Diliman campus. The area is within short distance of various government centers such as the Batasang Pambansa (House of Representatives) and national government agencies. Specialty hospitals like the Heart Center, National Kidney Transplant Institute, Lung Center are also nearby. Aside from the University of the Philippines, it is located near Ateneo de Manila University and Miriam College.
