Amandine Lugnier invites guests to immerse themselves in Paris’ local culture through highly curated experiential programming
Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel, an illustrious landmark overlooking the Place de la Concorde, Paris, is pleased to introduce Amandine Lugnier as the property’s inaugural Rosewood PlaceMaker. The latest extension of the brand’s guiding A Sense of Place ™ philosophy, wherein each property is designed to immerse guests in the destination, the PlaceMakers programme taps the beacons of Rosewood’s communities to harness local culture through bespoke experiences and promote an authentic feeling of affinity and belonging. As PlaceMaker for Hôtel de Crillon, Amandine has developed unique activations and programming, digital journeys of discovery and an expertly curated destination guide, each of which is rooted in her area of expertise of experiencing the city as a family, while simultaneously highlighting the essential elements and traits of the destination of Paris.
The Reunion – to be installed by Amandine at the Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel from 23rd to 26th September – will be created as part of the brand’s Rosewood PlaceMakers global ambassador programme championing locally connected personalities across key pillars that give character to their destination’s communities through purpose-driven innovations in this new era. The pop-up boutique will celebrate Rosewood’s A Sense of Place ethos and the Parisian woman, whilst championing local family focused brands with a sustainability angle, as well as the traditional retail experience.
Vincent Billiard, General Manager Hôtel de Crillon says: “We are delighted to partner with Amandine as our inaugural Rosewood PlaceMaker, to celebrate Parisian family experiences at the hotel. Our PlaceMakers programme allows guests to explore authentic stories of Paris – with the intention of crafting inspired Rosewood journeys that promote immersive experiences, meaningful connections, and individual well-being.”
Having worked for a decade for some of the world’s most distinguished luxury cosmetic groups, Amandine changed her life following the birth of her second child and created The Reunion – a destination for people to meet, exchange ideas and be inspired, with an emphasis on young, female creatives. As a mother of three, Amandine regularly shares personal tips on family travel, interiors and fashion to her loyal following, and assembles her favourite concepts, ‘coups de coeur’ and purchasable products via The Reunion pop-up stores, biannually.
Amandine Lugnier, Rosewood PlaceMaker says: “I am honoured to be the first PlaceMaker at Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel. The Reunion pop-up event champions multigenerational visits and is a collaboration of fifteen young talented brands from the worlds of fashion, interiors, accessories and cosmetics. With a programme incorporating experiential workshops, interactive talks and a children’s club, it aims to offer something for guests and locals of all ages to experience Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel as a family”.
Each bespoke pop-up is inspired by balance and well-being, and designed around a specific theme such as happiness, community and the Parisian woman. Transcending the classic boutique offering, The Reunion taps into experiential retail – more significant than ever before. Amandine collaborates with local talent to offer private interviews, interactive master-classes, tailored journals and a platform for expression to give voice to associations that want to be heard – particularly those that work with women and children, areas close to Amandine’s heart.
Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel is a timeless celebration of the spirit of Paris and French art de vivre. More than just one of the world’s most majestic hotels.
