Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), Blackstone’s hotel investment company, and Barceló Hotel Group, the leading hotel owner in southern Europe, has announced the reopening of Barceló Tenerife hotel following an investment of 8.6 million euros.
The hotel is in the south of the island, on the seafront next to the San Blas Environmental Reserve. The location has influenced the entire transformation process, ensuring the hotel is seamlessly integrated into the environment.
The new five-star Barceló Tenerife has 331 completely renovated rooms all with terraces and many with sea views. 59 of the rooms have been upgraded to Royal Level offering exclusive facilities and services. Additionally, the lounge areas have been remodelled and the gastronomic offering expanded with the creation of two new a la carte restaurants and three bars.
The hotel, which has direct access to the beach, has seven outdoor swimming pools, one of them heated all year round, surrounded by gardens and water fountains, as well as a kids club, a wellness centre, and a fully equipped gym. Barceló Tenerife is ideal for sports fans due to its complete range of sports facilities, which include: tennis courts, a cycling centre, climbing wall, a lake navigable by kayak, as well as two 18-hole golf courses located in the vicinity of the hotel.
Barceló Tenerife combines exclusive services and facilities with a total respect for the natural and cultural heritage of the area, with a new design inspired by the shapes and colours of the volcanic surroundings. This new design integrates Barcelo Tenerife into the landscape reducing its environmental impact.
