Retigo are delighted to be able to share our latest case study. The Star, Alfriston is co-owned by Alex Polizzi and her mother Olga. Alex is perhaps best known for her popular Hotel Inspector television series but is in fact a hotelier in her own right, whilst Olga remains the Rocco Forte Group of hotels Design Director.
Anyone watching the current television series “My Hotel Nightmare” will doubtless have even more respect to Alex, Olga and their team as they battle through challenges of the likes not seen in the hospitality industry for many a year as they breathe fresh life into The Star, which has operated as a hotel in some shape or form since the 13th Century.
Working with Retigo’s supply partner South Coast Catering Equipment and The Star team, we arranged for one of our award winning, super efficient Blue Vision 10 Grid ovens to be installed, with our Technical Services Team completing all of the commissioning, whilst one of our Development Chefs Danny was on hand to provide training.
