2020 may just be getting underway but many of us are already making holiday plans for the year ahead – with short trips to European capital cities a popular option.
A lot of people will undoubtedly believe that it might be more cost-effective for them to stay in someone else’s home (via Airbnb) than splurge a hefty sum on a hotel.
Interested in travel accommodation, Sellhousefast.uk found out what the most expensive option for an Airbnb per night would be within a one-mile radius of the central point of 49 different European capital cities.
Sellhousefast found that lavish Monaco has the most expensive option for an Airbnb within a one-mile radius at an astonishing £296.00/€349.00 per night.
Thereafter, London has the next most expensive choice for an Airbnb within a one-mile radius of the central point at £188.00/€222.00 per night.
Andorra la Vella ranks third, with the highest priced Airbnb within a one-mile radius set to cost interested travellers £156.00/€184.00 each night.
Interestingly, the most expensive Airbnb rate per night within a one-mile radius of the central point in other popular European capital destinations is as follows: Rome (£145.00/€171.00), Paris (£143.00/€169.00), Madrid (£117.00/€138.00), Berlin (£97.00/€114.00) and Lisbon (£74.00/€87.00).
At the other end, the most expensive choice for an Airbnb in Macedonia’s capital, Skopje, is just £34.00/€40.00 per night.
Data for research was collected on Monday 3rd February 2020.
The data is based on a one-night stay for two adults in each European country’s capital city.
All property options considered for each European capital city were within a one-mile radius of the respective central point – from this, the most expensive option was taken to showcase the final prices included in this research.
This data ignores peak prices, price fluctuations based on the date, season when booking is made and general availability.
