Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, the 4 red star luxury Hotel in Newmarket, Suffolk, is celebrating the Christmas season with the launch of its sparkling new festive afternoon tea. Running throughout December, the menu features a variety of traditional delicacies with a Christmas twist, crafted using the finest ingredients from across East Anglia.
Available to enjoy in the cosy, festive setting of the Hotel’s award-winning restaurant, Squires, the festive afternoon tea features a sumptuous sandwich selection that includes, traditional roast turkey with cranberry sauce, Suffolk honey roast ham and piccalilli, and, adding a festive twist to an old favourite – egg mayonnaise with shredded and fried sprout tops. Warm scones will be served with clotted cream, strawberry jam and sharp lemon curd, and the treat selection will take guests on a flavour journey through Christmases past and present. Guests will enjoy rich Christmas cake, white chocolate éclairs with mince pie cream filling, a Baileys macaron, shortbread Christmas trees, mini gingerbread men and many more festive fancies.

The team and I had great fun creating this menu and wanted to ensure we celebrated every festive flavour. A personal favourite of mine has to be the white chocolate éclairs with mince pie cream filling! We hope that the menu will give guests a welcome taste of Christmas and a touch of luxury too.”
The festive afternoon tea menu will be available in Squires restaurant and Roxana bar from Monday 2nd December and will cost £18.95 per person served with a choice of tea or coffee; or £26.95 per person served with tea or coffee and a glass of Moët & Chandon.
