Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland is proud to announce the appointment of Chris Swithenbank as Hotel Manager at its London flagship hotel, Leonardo Royal London St. Paul’s where he will support GM, Tony Hill, on achieving business goals.
Chris joins the Leonardo Royal property from his role as General Manager of Jurys Inn Cardiff, where he’s been for the past year.
Leonardo Royal London St. Paul’s opened its doors in April this year and is ideally situated in the shadow of the world-famous St. Paul’s Cathedral, perfect for business and leisure guests alike.
Having previously held a number of senior management positions at both branded and privately-run hotels, Chris joined Jurys Inn in 2015 as Deputy General Manager at Jurys Inn Milton Keynes. In February 2017, he was appointed Deputy General Manager at the 362-room Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel and Conference Venue. In this role, Chris oversaw the completion of a £14m refurbishment and along with his team helped deliver a record-breaking revenue year in the hotel’s history.
In 2018, Chris successfully graduated from the Jurys Inn internal training programme, which identifies high potential employees. Honing his skills in finance, marketing, guest perception and more; the qualification is testament to Chris’s managerial skills.
Chris’s move to the capital comes at an exciting time for Leonardo Hotels. His experience will prove incredibly valuable as Leonardo Royal continues as to grow and strengthen its profile in London and throughout the UK. Both Tony and Chris will work to develop the offering of the newly opened property and help drive the high-quality customer service that Leonardo Hotels takes pride in delivering to its guests.
