The Meetings Industry Association (mia) will be bringing together some of the UK’s top booking agents at its latest networking event.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural Agents Day, the 2016 event at Woodland Grange Conference Centre in Warwickshire offers venues the chance to network with the directors and booking staff from leading agents such as Calder Conferences & World of Travel, Prestige Hotel Reservations Limited, Mabrouka Events, Logical Venue Solutions, Pineapple Events, ArrangeMy Group, Eventful, tobook and Sundial SOS.
Taking place of 14 April, the fun and informative day will commence with an ‘Agents in the Spotlight’ session where venues can glean a unique insight into what the top agencies are looking for when selecting and booking venues and events.
Attendees will also get the chance to find their inner CSI as they test their minds and challenge their detective skills. With each team led by an agent, the group activity offers further networking opportunities in a fun environment.
Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “We are delighted to be staging our second Agents Day. The feedback was so positive from 2015 that we’ve decided to make it an annual fixture in our events calendar, which is ultimately designed to bring people together. The day offers a great opportunity to ask those candid questions and to give people the time and space to think in a different place. It is designed to make venues take a fresh approach to working with agents.”
The day concludes with a celebratory drinks reception where the mia will present an award to the winning team.
