Burger & Lobster will open its 13th restaurant in Bath later this year. It currently has restaurants in London, Cardiff, New York and Stockholm.
The group has purchased the Octagon in Bath’s Milsom Place where it will open a two story 240 cover restaurant & bar. Work has already started on the building, a Grade II listed former chapel, and is due to be completed by early September.
The Burger & Lobster concept is simple: there are no menus; it simply serves their 10oz burger, whole lobster or lobster roll, served with chips & salad and all priced at £20. Big boys or jumbo lobsters are sold (by weight) and are perfect for sharing. For lunch, during the week the baby burger and chick lobster are bought out to play at just £12.
All the burgers are made using corn-fed Nebraskan beef using three cuts of prime steak containing natural marbling for the juiciest flavour. The restaurant’s wild lobster is flown in alive from the Atlantic Ocean to its dedicated tank at Heathrow Airport. The lobsters are delivered daily to its restaurants where they are kept for you to pick your own.
Marketing Manager Maisie Denning comments: “We are very excited to be opening in the beautiful City of Bath. We believe that we have something exciting to add to the burgeoning and vibrant restaurant scene in here in the city. Our menu in the restaurant will remain true to our existing Burger & Lobster concept, while the Cocktail Bar offers us the chance to work with a wide range of local producers & suppliers.”
The company will be holding a tasting with a panel of experts to create the drinks list, which will feature local suppliers. If you are interested in submitting your products for this, please contact Madeleine Waters at The Co Company [email protected].
