The Goring has revealed that this winter it will be transforming its popular terrace into the ultimate alpine area.
Feeling inspired after discovering an old photograph of his great grandfather and grandfather on the slopes of St Moritz, Jeremy Goring, the fourth generation to run The Goring decided to bring the glamour of the ski resort to the hotel this winter. Opening in November, The Goring’s Winter Terrace will bring old-school glamour with a contemporary twist to the hotel. The space will offer warming cocktails and indulgent fondue to be enjoyed among sheepskin rugs on the heated terrace, which overlooks the hotel’s large private garden.
Waiters will be clad in vintage ski jumpers, and there will be wooden sled tables, screens of antique skis, lanterns and tick cashmere rugs to complete the experience. The new winter terrace will opened in November and will run until February 2016, paying homage to The Goring’s founder and soon.
