AccorHotels launches ibis budget London Luton Airport hotel

Conveniently located close to Luton Airport, Luton Parkway station and Capability Green Business Park, and with rooms starting from just £55, the new ibis budget Luton Airport hotel is ideal for both tourists and business travellers looking to enjoy a good night’s sleep without breaking the bank.

Meeting the ever-changing needs of a younger and more millennial audience, the hotel employees will host guests in a more social and interactive way using mobile devices.Hotel functions, including check-in, housekeeping and breakfast will be managed by the device, enabling staff to move away from a traditional reception desk setup.

The move is part of AccorHotel’s new online check-in/fast check-out service, which provides guests with time-saving services such as online check-in four days prior to arrival, practical information sent via SMS and speedy key drop facilities on departure. The implementation of this category leading initiative is a further move by ibis to become a sector leader in customer service.

Each of the 134 rooms feature ibis budget’s new bedroom concept, the Nest Room. The Nest Room design combines contemporary style, easy comfort and clever layout solutions, such as a pull down single bed in the three-person room, which can be stowed away when not in use. Rooms also come equipped with SweetBed™ by ibis budget – a bed fully designed, tested and developed by ibis’ Design and Innovation team for the cosiest and most exclusive comfort in the economy sector.

Smart storage solutions including a built-in coat rack that blends into the décor and a bed the ideal height to slide a suitcase underneath are all incorporated. The clever layout of the Nest Room is designed with ultimate flexibility in mind and can be configured in 10 different ways – including two family rooms – which enables both relaxation and ease of movement in the space.

All rooms feature an en-suite shower room and a flat-screen TV, while free high-speed fibre Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel’s public areas. For £5.50, guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat continental breakfast, served daily from 4am – 10am, while snack and beverage machines are available in the hotel each day.

James Wheatcroft, VP Marketing UK&IRE at AccorHotels, says: “As with all ibis budget hotels, our new Luton Airport property offers a convenient location at a modest price. We know our millennial guests value a personal approach when dealing with hotel staff and the use of mobile technology caters to their needs. Furthermore, incorporating our Nest Room concept throughout the hotel is further evidence of ibis re-defining the guest experience while continuing to set the benchmark in economy hotels.”
