TRUMP TURNBERRY CONTINUES TO DELIVER THE VERY BEST IN FIVE-STAR LUXURY

Trump Turnberry, the legendary Scottish resort, has earned global recognition as one of the most exclusive institutions for golf lovers with its iconic Ailsa course revered throughout the world.

Complemented by the King Robert the Bruce course as well as the nine-hole Arran, the resort has become synonymous with the very best in golf – and playing here remains a bucket-list experience for all golfers.

But as the luxury travel industry heads to this week’s ILTM in Cannes – the end-of-year show that brings the market’s most influential figures together for four days of invaluable networking – visitors are being encouraged to experience the wealth of facilities that Turnberry has to offer.

The resort’s grand hotel, state-of-the art spa, selection of sparkling restaurants and outdoor pursuits – all set against one of the most stunning backdrops in the UK with views over the Firth of Clyde and Irish Sea – have put Turnberry firmly on the map as a world-class resort that delivers the very best in five-star opulence.

Known for its resplendent Edwardian architecture, the Turnberry hotel is home to 192 stunning rooms and suites that reflect the quality, character and philosophy of the resort.

Families and groups will also enjoy their stay in Turnberry’s self-catering cottages, while golf lovers can take in the ambience of Turnberry’s ‘Four Open’ suites, named after the winners of each Open Championship to have been played across the hallowed fairways of the Ailsa: Watson, Norman, Price and Cink.

For those looking to really sample the history of the resort, the Turnberry Lighthouse remains one of the most iconic landmarks in Scotland as it towers over the Ailsa’s signature ninth hole. A Turnberry institution with its history dating back to 1873, it is the oldest man-made structure on the premises of the resort and was originally commissioned by the Northern Lighthouse Board to warn passing vessels away from the nearby Bristo Rock.

Today, the Turnberry Lighthouse is home to a luxurious two-bedroom suite – as well as the Ailsa’s famous Halfway House – with its own private balcony the perfect spot to take in those breath-taking views out over the Irish Sea.

Turnberry offers distinctive dining experiences, including the signature 1906 restaurant, the elegant Grand Tea Lounge & Bar and the Duel in the Sun restaurant. The resort has a well-established reputation for top-class events, specialising in personalised experiences.

Visitors can enjoy the most special times together through Turnberry Adventures, with a range of activities throughout the year including horse-riding – under the expert tutelage at Turnberry’s riding school – fly fishing, clay-pigeon shooting in the recently redeveloped purpose-built shooting school, kayaking, paddleboarding, quad biking, 4×4 off-road driving and falconry experiences.

As part of the resort’s continued multi-million-pound investment, The Spa at Turnberry reopened in 2021 following an 18-month renovation programme with guests able to take full advantage of additional luxuries and a new range of treatments.

Among the additions is a poolside bio-sauna with floor-to-ceiling vistas, while the centrepiece of the spa comes with a 65-foot heated infinity swimming pool, where guests can take in those incredible views over the championship links with the mysterious Ailsa Craig some ten miles out to sea and the Mull of Kintyre and Isle of Arran in the background.

Jane Frazer, Director of Sales & Marketing at Trump Turnberry, said: “Turnberry has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the finest golf resorts in the world due largely to our magnificent Ailsa course, not to mention The King Robert the Bruce and nine-hole Arran layout.

“But we are collectively very proud of the Turnberry story and how the resort has evolved in recent years. Our Turnberry Adventures offer guests a thrilling experience with so many activities to choose from, which the whole family can enjoy.

“Meanwhile, our hotel, with dining options in our signature 1906 restaurant, along with our world-class spa, suites and self-catering cottages, make it the perfect place to unwind in the very best of luxury.”
