Crimson Hotels Appoints New Cluster General Manager

Federico Ciampi leads in the management of two luxury London hotels

Crimson Hotels has appointed Federico Ciampi as Cluster General Manager following the recent acquisition of the Trafalgar St James, the luxury five-star hotel located in the bustling central tourist district of Trafalgar Square.

The appointment marks Ciampi’s promotion within the Crimson Hotels Group – managing both the Curio Collection properties within the portfolio, The Trafalgar St. James Hotels well as 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel London, Ciampi is a seasoned hospitality professional with upwards of 15 years’ experience. His latest appointment sees his return to management at The Trafalgar St James after managing the property for two years from 2018 – 2020.

He has previously worked in luxury venues around the world in London, Dubai, Edinburgh, Manchester and the British Virgin Islands, leading in the management of a number of luxury properties including The Mayfair Townhouse and The V&A Manchester Marriott.

Federico Ciampi

Ciampi was named the Rising Star Manager of the Year in 2014 at The Scottish Hotel Awards. He has also led many of the hotels he has managed to awards success. As well, he has a Master’s Certification in Hotel Management from Cornell University and has previously helped to grow a successful education initiative by creating a network of university hospitality internships.

The Trafalgar St. James, which comprises of 131 rooms, has a standout location at Trafalgar Square. 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel, which offers 228 uniquely designed and spacious rooms situated over six floors, including 11 suites, is originally home of international explorer, William Alexander, offering a new discovery around every corner.
