BTA partners with Global Secure Accreditation @TheBTAorg

The BTA today announces its latest partnership with Global Secure Accreditation (GSA), the world’s first truly independent system of hotel security accreditation which, can help support travel managers in providing improved assurance for their business travellers.

Global Secure is an independent hotel security assessment process, established and operated by highly experienced security experts and created in partnership with SFJ Awards (SFJ) a UK Government (Ofqual) global approved standards awarding organization, to deliver reliable, world class security assurance.

BTA’s partnership with GSA will help Travel Management Companies (TMCs) to provide a higher level of safety for travellers when selecting accommodation partners.  This effective hotel security assessment process enables travel managers to provide enhanced duty of care and enable business travellers to make more informed choices concerning safety and security within hotels internationally.

GSA’s simplified process also enables hotels to respond quickly to TMCs’ requests around security levels. Its expert team can provide consistent safety and security assessment services and advises on topics such as, safe zones and allows hotel operator access to a community of security experts and hotel management professionals for networking and best practise.

Clive Wratten, CEO, BTA comments:

“We are excited to be partnering with GSA and help our members deliver safer travel management and strengthen the trust between hotel partners. We are committed to ensuring traveller wellbeing is the high on the agenda for both corporates and TMCs.”

David Wood, GSA, CEO, comments:

“Global Secure Accreditation is delighted to be a partner with the Business Travel Association to provide assistance to corporate travel management professionals around security at the hotels they use for their clients, enabling them to make more informed choices, meet the duty of care requirements and mitigate risk.”
