BEDS at January Furniture Show

The best in beds – from the UK’s best

After a highly successful introduction in 2019, BEDS at January Furniture Show returns in 2020 with over 20 individual brands showing 100s of beds, mattresses and sleeping accessories.

The UK largest furniture and interiors trade show, January Furniture Show runs from 19th -22nd January at Birmingham’s NEC and features over 500 exhibitors including long established brands and brands fresh to the market.

Requests for more beds at January Furniture Show was a recurring theme from visitors prior to 2019.  The BEDS@JFS sector introduced in 2019 proved not only to be an instant hit with visitors, it also helped to cement the stature of JFS as the all-round industry event – providing buyers with a unique opportunity to select everything needed to sell the room in one go.

Taking centre stage in Hall 5, BEDS at January Furniture Show will feature household names including Dreamworks Beds, Hestia and Sealey as well as specialist brands like Millbrook Beds and Loren Williams.

On show in BEDS at January Furniture Show will be mattresses of every kind – coil sprung, pocket sprung, gel, latex, memory foam, motion and orthopaedic among them. Sumptuous upholstered beds will be shown alongside simple wooden beds, metal frames and practical divans.  Motion beds are in, and models at every price point will on show from expert manufacturers including Furmanac, the largest manufacturer of adjustable beds in the UK.

The Silentnight Group is the UK’s largest manufacturer of beds and mattresses and anchors BEDS at January Furniture Show in Hall 5.  After a hugely successful first time showing at JFS in 2019 they are repeating the winning formula in 2020 with all 3 of their well-known brands – Sealy, Rest Assured and Silentnight showing the new and best-selling models.

Commenting on their success after the show the then Silentnight Group MD Steve Freeman said: “We were extremely busy across all four days, booking orders, securing new floor distribution within existing retail partners, opening up new customers and arranging follow up meetings with many new potential stockists. There was a great feeling of optimism permeating the halls which generated a very positive vibe. For Silentnight, Sealy and Rest Assured it was a great show.”  New MD Neil Anderson had no hesitation in rebooking all 3 brands for the 2020 January Furniture Show.

Furmanac is UK’s largest manufacturer of adjustable beds and with its highly regarded high-end brand Hestia, and its mainstream brand MiBed, it covers the full spectrum of the market.  A continual drive to improve the technology of its motion beds and a desire to develop its ranges to reflect every need it continues to lead the way in motion beds.

For the first time Dreamworks Beds, who are now owned by Gallery Direct will show at BEDS at January Furniture Show.  Maintaining the tradition of their luxury handmade mattresses – for both retail and contract, was critical to the acquisition by Gallery Direct and the latest models in their Natural, Non-Turn and Portobello collections will be on display.

Highgrove Beds is one the UK’s fastest growing bed brands and currently produces over 500 beds a week from its West Yorkshire premises. A family owned company it is committed to producing a wide choice of beds and mattresses for both retail and contract and has gel, latex and memory foam models in its extensive portfolio.

Loren Williams have a 50+ year history of producing high-end mattresses from their base just west of Edinburgh.  As well as domestic use, their supreme pocket sprung mattresses grace many hotels and high-end guest houses.

Millbrook Beds are committed to traditional ideals of quality and craftmanship, their aspirational handmade beds are filled with only natural products including wool, silk and cashmere and are designed to provide comfort and support and promote excellent sleep.

Other well-known names will also show their latest beds and mattresses in BEDS@JFS in 2020 – Birlea, Breasley, Deep Sleep, Highgate Beds, Kayflex, Mlily and Slumbernights are just some of them.

Throughout the rest of the show, beds and bedroom furniture will also abound.  In Hall 1 Whitemeadow’s bed studio will be full of new contemporary and supremely desirable designs – which feature sumptuous upholstered models in exclusive fabrics, and Levitas will show their eye-catching, ultra-modern ‘floating’ models.
