New 4mm Dekton® Slim by Cosentino – Perfect for On-Trend Bathroom Design

Bathroom trends often start in the hospitality industry, and the current trend for extra-large tiling is no exception.  This look not only offers practical benefits for cleaning, but also creates sleek designs.  The worldwide leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, Cosentino is delighted to have launched a new, revolutionary 4mm thickness for its ultra-compact surface brand, Dekton®, which is ideally suited to bathroom surface coverings in high-usage areas.  Consisting of six colours initially, the new Dekton® Slim product range offers the opportunity to clad larger areas in a quicker and more cost effective manner, delivering the same hard-wearing benefits of Dekton®.

With guests expecting materials and fittings of the highest quality, the new Slim range of surface coverings from Cosentino offer designers and developers a simple way to create an on-trend look without breaking the budget.  Great for creating a uniform finish, Dekton® Slim surfaces are available in slab sizes up to 3200 x 1400mm.  With fewer joints needed, the result is a premium look that is easy to maintain.

The new Slim format offers the same technical properties as standard Dekton®, including a high resistance to scratches, staining and low porosity.  In busy hospitality environments, these benefits provide the peace of mind of easy cleaning, aesthetic longevity and product warranties.  What’s more, due to its thin thickness and ultra-lightweight properties (10kg/m2), the Slim surfaces are easier to cut and transport, making it possible to save money on installation whilst still specifying wall cladding from a market-leading, reliable brand.

Christopher Hay, national sales manager for Cosentino UK, says, “At Cosentino, we’re proud of our commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of surface design. Launched at the beginning of this year, we are already seeing a positive response to our new 4mm Dekton® Slim range, which is reflective of the time we take when developing these new products.”

The six initial colours available in the Slim range include Opera, Zenith, Sirocco, Kelya, Sirius and Kreta.  With urban concrete-inspired materials continuing to be popular, this curated selection of designs caters to this trend, whilst also providing timeless styles such as marble-look Opera and neutral Zenith.
