LA MANGA CLUB AFTERNOON TREAT IS PERFECT CUP OF TEA

Spain’s La Manga Club is offering food lovers the chance to indulge in one of the great British customs with the launch of a new ‘Traditional Afternoon Tea’ service.

From this month, guests can tuck into an array of mouth-watering British delicacies every afternoon at the resort’s famous Piano Bar – including the opportunity to sample the best scones in the Murcia region.

A selection of delicious finger sandwiches, sweet treats and sumptuous scones with strawberry jam and cream are all on offer daily from 3.30-6.00pm, with afternoon tea accompanied by a wide choice of teas or coffee.

A refreshing glass of cava is also included in the price of €12 per person – bookable in advance for a minimum of two people – while people with a love of cards can combine the treat with a game of bridge in a private room nearby at La Manga Club’s Amapola Restaurant (advance booking also required).

The new service adds to the extensive list of culinary treats on offer at La Manga Club, with guests having more than 15 bars and restaurants and a variety of global cuisines to choose from.

Among the options available, classic Mediterranean flavours can be found in abundance at the Amapola, La Bodega and La Cala resort restaurants, while Asia, Dharma and Luigi restaurants also provide an incredible gastronomic experience without the need to leave the resort.

Situated in Murcia, south-east Spain, La Manga Club has set the benchmark for sports and leisure destinations across Europe for more than 45 years.

The official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the resort’s facilities include three 18-hole golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre and 2,000sqm Wellness Centre, while La Manga Club is the home to Spain’s only official Chelsea FC Foundation Soccer School. In addition, it features the choice of a five-star hotel and four-star serviced apartments and townhouses.
