Austria’s largest hotel group Vienna House opens new hotel in Warsaw

In the business district of the capital city of Poland, the 164-room Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw opens in February 2019. Located close to the airport, the hotel is aimed primarily at business travellers, but also visitors who appreciate industrial design, lively lobby culture, creative meeting opportunities and first-class food.

Poland is an increasingly attractive country for the conference market and international business. This year it was promoted to the group of developed countries in the FTSE Russell index. In 2017 the Polish conference market grew by 11% and Polish airports served 17% more passengers than in the previous year. Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, is an increasingly popular business travel destination, and the Mokotów/Służewiec district is the largest office centre with many international companies already established. A booming district, ideal for another Vienna House in Poland.

“Opening a hotel in Warsaw was a natural step for us. We have been managing hotels in Poland very successfully for many years, including a resort and several business and city hotels,” explains Rupert Simoner, CEO of Vienna House. “The new Vienna House brand hotel confirms our growth strategy as well as our commitment to the Polish market. And I am sure that one or more hotels will follow,” Simoner adds.

“The Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw will not be a conventional hotel. It will be a place where business travellers – besides their work – can experience a great time. Whether in the casual lobby bar, the fitness area with city views, the Greenhouse restaurant, the piazza, or a creative meeting set-up” adds Marta Karteczka.

The hotel, designed by innovative Polish architectural firm Jems Architekci, will feature a nod to the area’s industrial past alongside contemporary and functional design concepts. The hotel will target business travellers along with local companies and residents with flexible meeting areas in the hotel’s lobby and high standard business facilities.

The Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw is located only 10 minutes by car from the Warsaw Chopin Airport. Its services have been designed with a high level of comfort for business guests who appreciate modern technological solutions, premium quality and care for the environment.

Quick, on-the-go breakfast and delicious local produce

Those who are in a hurry to catch a morning plane can use the “grab & go” option. Guests who have more time can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet offering healthy and fresh juices and smoothies, home-made preserves and regional products. The Greenhouse restaurant offers first-class steaks as well as vegetarian dishes made from fresh, regional ingredients.

Contemporary design and wellness

The hotel’s design will feature the area’s industrial red brick and steel, alongside modern furnishings including large glass surfaces and natural materials. Each of the 164 rooms has a bathroom designed as individual wellness areas with a spacious spa shower, premium facilities and organic beauty products.

Creative meetings spaces

The conference area consists of four rooms covering 180 square metres, which features an abundance of natural daylight, can be arranged as needed from product presentations to seminars. “Anyone who experiences the creative meeting zone will never again want to enter a traditional meeting room,” says Marta Karteczka. “The concept that we offer at all Vienna House hotels is a great change in everyday conference life. We want to ensure our guests are totally satisfied. We therefore use smart and creative facilities and special breaks to create a unique, uncomplicated and relaxed atmosphere.”
