London Steakhouse Co. 'Chip-raises' For CLIC Sargent

Diners at London Steakhouse Co have raised more than £4,000 in five months towards cancer charity CLIC Sargent, simply by ordering fries with their meals.

London Steakhouse Co. is donating 50p to the charity for every signature house-cut fries served to diners. Since beginning the collaboration in July 2016, London Steakhouse Co. has raised £4293.50 between its two restaurants.

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people. When cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health.

James Ogilvie Robertson, Co-owner of London Steakhouse Co. said: “London Steakhouse Company has chosen CLIC Sargent as they work tirelessly to support young people in their fight against cancer. We are very pleased to be helping such a fantastic charity – they bring immediate and practical support to young people and their families when dealing with cancer. House Fries, as you can imagine, are our most popular side order and we thought it was a brilliant way to benefit others through our restaurants.”

Jemma Syms, Account Manager at CLIC Sargent said: “We are hugely grateful for the support of London Steakhouse Co. and their diners, who are able to help us fight for young lives struck by cancer simply by ordering a portion of fries.

“The money raised will help CLIC Sargent’s specialist care teams step in for these families, ready to help, support and guide. We know that 11 more children and young people are diagnosed every day and it is vital that we can be there for them, individually, locally and nationally. We rely entirely on donations for our work, so support like this is absolutely crucial.”

London Steakhouse has also donated £5000 separately to the charity earlier this year which brings their overall donation to £9293.50.
