Best Western Plus, Castle Green Hotel

Newhey Carpets, a leading British manufacturer and specialist designer of innovative, high performance and sustainable commercial carpets, recently supplied 266 square metres of Colortec+ carpet for the Best Western Plus, Castle Green Hotel.

Situated in the idyllic town of Kendal on the edge of the Lake District, the four star luxury Castle Green Hotel is surrounded by breath taking views of Lakeland Fells and beautiful backdrops such as the charming remains of Kendal Castle. Following the installation of over 1000 square metres of carpet for the guestrooms in 2012, Newhey were asked to design and manufacture 3 bespoke carpets for the £250,000 refurbishment of the 2 AA Rosette winning restaurant ‘The Greenhouse’. The design features include a leaf pattern that represents and features the surroundings of the hotel, the native pine and oak trees and complements the fabric and furniture chosen by Cheshire based interior design firm, the Alison Pike Partnership.

All carpet designs were bespoke creations using Colortec+, a carpet construction which is tufted using computer yarn placement technology. This product allows for a cost effective carpet with strong durability for areas with high footfall.

Newhey’s Colortec+ carpet is exclusively constructed using 80% wool and 20% Nylon hank dyed pile yarns to create a high quality carpet which makes a perfect solution for the bar and main dining areas.  The carpet design complements the new contemporary look and feel of the hotel perfectly, helping to create a modern and luxurious environment.
