Luxury Thai Resort, The Tongsai Bay Creates First Fully Plant-Based Menu

The Tongsai Bay on Koh Samui has long catered for a range of diets, and because of its strong environmental credentials, has always championed sustainable food sources in its three restaurants. The Tongsai Bay’s guests have become more interested in reducing their consumption of meat, often as part of the clean-eating health trend or to help reduce their own environmental impact on the planet. In response, The Tongsai Bay has created a vegetarian menu, available to all of its guests.

Traditional Thai cuisine is heavily focused on seafood and meat, so for guests looking to reduce their consumption, this menu will be a welcome relief as it provides a wonderful selection of plant-based dishes.

The vegetarian menu consists of five delicious lunch options and seven mouth-watering dinner dishes. The menu offers many vegan options, too, for those guests who would like to avoid animal-derived products, such as honey and cheese.

Specialities on the vegetarian lunch menu include the speciality Po-Lad Dumplings, Zucchini Spaghetti and Vegan Meatballs and Signature Vegan Burritos, the dinner menu offers Pumpkin and Pomelo Salad, Gluten Free Spaghetti and Mushroom Bolognese and Goats Cheese and Beetroot Carpaccio.

The vegetarian menu will be available at Po-Lad Beach Bistro for lunch and dinner.
